Driving Tennessee backroads at the changing of the seasons is one of my all-time favorite pastimes. It really forces you to slow down and see what’s unfolding all around you. Usually on a Sunday afternoon, we load up a perfect car picnic (crackers, turkey, salami, hummus, cucumbers, carrots, and drinks), or we stop by and get some to-go food to eat in the car while we drive.
